We were honoured by the visit of the Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of China, Tang Xiaoqin, who talked to 1st and 2nd grade students about her country.

We are very thankful for her disposition and the books she donated for our library!

Socialab – Solutions for the future

Socialab offered to carry out a workshop with our 2nd grade students.

The initiative’s goal is to promote the use of technology in educational projects which seek to improve the quality of life of the community. This project was carried out in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay simultaneously. The experience was very interesting. Thanks!

“Bad Words”

Within the Cultural Interaction Programme (PAC) and cultural entertainers, we invited students and families to see  the play “Bad Words” at the Liceo. The Cultural Entertainers were in charge of organizing the event.

Actress Laura Bouzas played the main character, Flor. In a monologue,
she untangles her story in front of the audience. Flor takes us to the world of her childhood making the characters, games, conflicts, hopes and dreams that
lived in it come to life.

“Bad Words” addresses the subject of adoption and the fear of facing its disclosure. Done in a sensitive manner but not solemnly,  the play goes from laughter to sadness, fear, rage and happiness. Its script highlights the value of words, giving way to questions which  might not get answers.

It was a very interesting experience. Thanks all for participating!

Visit to the Uruguayan American School

As per a cooperation agreement with the Uruguayan American School, we visited their premises with a group of students who are studying English in 2nd and 3rd grades.

The goal was to share assignments and projects between both institutions throughout the year. In this occasion we shared a Science class which was very valuable for our students. We thank the UAS for their warm welcome!

Colour Fair

We invited our students’ families to the Liceo to participate in the Colour Fair. It was an entertaining experience, with  great attendance and cooperation from the families and youngsters. The fair was in charge of the cultural entertainers who organized and collected the proceedings which will be used to fund the camps.

A group of our students presented their projects at the Robotics, Programming and Video Games 2017 Olympics. Also at the 18th edition of “Roboteca”, organized by the Escuela Integral Hebrero Uruguaya.

Next year, the 19th edition of Roboteca will be carried at our Institution in October!
