Makerspaces – 2nd grade

In English class, we received the visit of Mateo and Leonardo,  Mecatronic Engineering students from Fray Bentos’ UTEC.
They taught us to make robots with kits donated by the United States Embassy. The activity was a very good learning and enjoyable experience for our students.

Visit to 23 de Diciembre neighbourhood

Students from the  Cultural Entertainers workshop got together with those of Theatre workshop  to carry out a film and theatre exhibition at the 23 de Diciembre neighbourhood. It was carried out in the community dining room where a group of volunteers (including parents from Espigas’ students) feed 50 children from the neighbourhood, offering dinner on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Integration event organized by the Shoá

On Sunday, November 17 we were invited to an integration day organized by the Shoá.

Some third grade students from the Liceo attended the integration event where they met with students from other high schools from around the country. They listened to the testimony of Rolf Magnus, a holocaust survivor who, after living the night of the broken glass, was sent to Bushenwald concentration camp together with his father.

Thank you to the Shoá for the invitation. It was an invaluable learning experience.
