Health Coverage

Fundación Retoño Uruguay has built and operates modern Ambulatory Medical and Dental Health Clinics at the Espigas Centre.

The clinics are managed by Urgenterap Medical Services, under the Technical Direction of Dr. Cristina Odino. The Institution has the appropriate authorization from the Ministry of Public Health and extensive experience in the field.

Its professionals hold workshops on health education, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, the importance of breast feeding, first aid, birth control and healthy nutrition among others.

These clinics provide an easy and free access to health care for more than 700 babies, children and youth who attend the Centre and Liceo Espigas, and their siblings.

With this project, the Foundation achieved the objective of completing its support to the formal education, by incorporating health care and prevention to its contributions. This fact is, without a doubt, a fundamental service to the community.
